Job summary

The Gables of Canton is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing and wellness staff, ensuring high-quality resident care in a regulated environment. You will collaborate with the DON and other leaders to manage on-call rotations, staff development, and admissions processes.

Qualified candidates hold an active nursing license, have at least two years of residence care experience in assisted living, and demonstrate ability to coordinate care in a dementia-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in resident care in assisted living.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional demeanor communicating service, dignity and respect to residents.
• Assist in oversight of Wellness staff in the absence of DON or Wellness Director.
• Ensure outstanding care while adhering to regulations and law.
• Maintain healthcare provider relations and resident charts.
• Perform resident assessments and appraisals.
• Participate in on-call rotation with the DON.
• May cover shifts as Care/Medication Partner when needed.
• Assist with hiring and onboarding of new employees.
• Develop dementia-specific staff orientation and training.
• Report any elder abuse or neglect as required by policy.
