Job summary

BBH Burrell Behavioral Health in Independence, MO seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing services and supervise nursing management. The role partners with the Vice President of Nursing to ensure high-quality patient care and a supportive environment for staff and patients.

The ideal candidate has RN/LPN licensure with 5+ years of clinical experience, 3–5 years in supervision, and CPR/First Aid certification. Travel and telehealth support may be involved as needed.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN with 5+ years of clinical nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Nurse supervisor experience 3–5 years.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing services under the Vice President of Nursing.
• Provide direct supervision to clinical nursing managers and other nursing staff.
• Assist in scheduling, training, supervising, and evaluating nursing staff.
• Provide coaching and immediate feedback to staff for growth and corrective actions with HR.
• Offer nursing staff support to troubleshoot client/staff issues with the Vice President of Nursing.
• Evaluate departmental performance and suggest improvements.
• Manage staffing coverage in Workday and ensure appropriate coverage.
• Assist with Telehealth in clinical settings when requested.
• Provide after-hours on-call nursing leadership as needed.
• Develop documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Review nursing incident reports and escalate as needed.
