Job summary

Villa Healthcare's Westland facility, Westland, A Villa Center, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing RN to supervise and enhance nursing services. The role collaborates with the DON, Administrator, and medical staff to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license, a BSN or ASN degree, strong leadership and financial management skills, and can work flexible hours with occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Must have RN license in good standing.
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Three years of nursing leadership experience preferred; ADON preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews daily work assignments to ensure regulatory compliance and staffing consistency.
• Assists DON in daily management of nursing staff, scheduling, and policy enforcement.
• Responsible for recruitment, training, orientation, supervision, scheduling, time cards, and personnel issues.
• Participates in admissions planning and resident needs assessment.
• Ensures equipment, supplies, and staffing meet care delivery needs.
• Manages the nursing department budget and provides budgetary planning information.
• Completes rounds daily to ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborates on staff development programs and quality improvement.
• Plans for improved outcomes to reduce unnecessary acute care visits.
• Mentor nursing leaders and prepare for succession planning.
• Ensures abuse and neglect policies are maintained and enforced.
