Eleanor Nursing Care Center, a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Dutchess County, NY, seeks an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team and elevate resident care. The ADON will work with the Director of Nursing to oversee operations and ensure high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing setting.
• Previous nursing management or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Passion for geriatric nursing and resident-centered care.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate staff.
• Flexible schedule availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing with management and daily nursing operations.
• Help maintain quality care standards and regulatory compliance.
• Foster effective communication across all levels of nursing staff.
• Ensure residents' nursing and medical needs are met.
• Coordinate and direct nursing service planning and delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and standards.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding nursing staff.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to nursing personnel.
• Maintain flexibility to address resident and facility needs as they arise.
