Job summary

CHESS is seeking a Nursing Lab Assistant to support the Nursing Department by preparing and running simulation labs and skill sessions. The role involves operating nursing simulation equipment, maintaining lab spaces, and ensuring supplies are stocked for classes.

The incumbent will assist in creating lab calendars, monitor students in the lab, and coordinate with faculty to meet instructional needs while adhering to safety and college policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and perform basic math at high school level.
• Experience through apprenticeship, internship or similar role (1–2 years).

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and executing nursing simulation scenarios and lab activities.
• Calibrate and maintain nursing lab equipment and manikins.
• Manage lab inventory, supplies and room setups; ensure cleanliness and safety.
