The Nursing Lab/Simulation Assistant is an hourly position that supports the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program at WSU’s Davis or Ogden Campus. This role assists with lab and simulation activities, including setup and maintenance of spaces, supplies, and equipment; operates video recording software for student and faculty use. While primarily based at either the Davis or Ogden campus, the position may occasionally travel to other locations (Davis, Ogden, Bridgerland Technical College, or Davis Technical College) to support program needs.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar uses of feet, legs, hands, or arms. Agility and balance are required. Walking, standing, crouching on narrow or slippery surfaces, bending, and moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet. Operating equipment or moving objects requiring sustained use of upper or lower extremities. Lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Repetitive motion of wrists, hands, and fingers may occur.
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision is required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
The worker will be subject to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including noise that may require shouting to be heard, and narrow aisles or passageways.
