Job summary

Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Nursing Student to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit as a Nurse Intern - Medical Telemetry. This PRN daytime internship requires enrollment in an accredited RN program with a 2026/2027 graduation date and completion of Fundamentals of Nursing.

Interns gain hands-on patient care experience under RN supervision and will perform clinical tasks with approval, while supporting the health care team and staying within licensed task limits.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program.
• Completion of Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• Graduation date in 2026/2027.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Nursing Interns are restricted from licensed tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures and provide patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provide support to other health care team members.
• May perform technical tasks per unit competency validation.

Position: Nurse Intern - Medical Telemetry

Schedule: PRN; Days; Minimum 1 shift per 6 week schedule

The Nursing Intern is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed a Fundamentals of Nursing course and have a graduation date in 2026/2027. The Nursing Intern performs clinical procedures and provides patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. Performs direct and indirect patient care activities. Provides support to other health care team members. The Nursing Intern may perform technical tasks per unit competency validation. However, Nursing Interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.

The Nurse Intern position is for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program who have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing . We are currently looking for nursing students whose expected graduation date is in 2027/2028.
