Job summary

Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Intern to join our team. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training for students who completed the fundamentals of their nursing program and is suitable for CNAs seeking a supportive workplace.

You will float between departments as needed, provide patient care under an RN, assist with activities of daily living, and help improve hospital throughput and patient experience through flexible, 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year.
• Basic Life Support RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI), Nursing Student - Various

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
• Provides assistance with activities of daily living and care (bathing, hygiene, nutrition, mobility).
• Anticipates the patient’s family needs proactively.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to patient needs.
• Collaborates with the health care team to enhance patient care.

Saint Luke’s North on Barry Road is seeking a Nursing Intern to join our team. This is a great entry level position with on the job training available for an applicant that has completed the fundamental portion of their nursing program. This opportunity is also a great position for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) that is looking for a supportive workplace to call home. You will have the opportunitytohelp improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience by floating between departments as needed based on staffing and patient care needs. Shift Details:

12 hour shifts of choice (06:45am-7:15pm or 6:45pm-7:15am), 1 shift every 6 week rotation, 1 hard to staff requirement

The Work:

• Providespatient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.


• Providesassistance with activities of daily living and care, such as bathing, personal hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.


• Anticipatesthe patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.


• Individualizesand modifiescare according to the patient’s needs.


• Collaborateswith other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care.
