Job summary

Coastal Alabama Community College invites applications for a Nursing Instructor to plan, prepare, present, and evaluate classroom and clinical instruction across multiple campuses. The role includes advising students, participating in committees, and maintaining course documentation and schedules.

The candidate will teach both lecture and lab as needed, adhere to college policies, and engage in ongoing professional development and distance education if required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Unencumbered Alabama RN license or multi-state license.
• Experience teaching nursing in a connected clinical or academic setting.
• Demonstrated clinical supervision and strong communication skills.
• Ability to teach across multiple Coastal Alabama campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develops curriculum and plans courses with department coordination.
• Teaches lecture and lab sessions during day, evening, or weekend.
• Maintains office hours, submits syllabi and attendance reports.
• Grades promptly and communicates with students within 24 hours.
• Advises students and participates in college committees and activities.
• Maintains professional development and compliance with college policies.
