Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Illinois RN license that has never been encumbered.
• At least 2 years experience in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/ICU.
• At least 1 year teaching experience preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Active CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in multiple modalities while promoting Rasmussen University’s vision and mission.
• Teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, equating to a full-time schedule.
• Employ effective teaching strategies and engaging activities to support student learning.
• Ensure class objectives are clear, relevant, and connected to performance.
• Collaborate with the Dean on curriculum and assessment development.
