Job summary

Instructors teach across modalities, maintain a strong classroom presence, support student success, participate in curriculum development, and collaborate with the Nursing Administrator

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required.
• Active Minnesota RN license (not encumbered).
• Active CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross).
• 1 year RN clinical experience required; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible, team-oriented with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in various modalities, supporting Rasmussen University's vision and mission.
• Teach 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter, equating to a full-time schedule.
• Use effective teaching strategies and multiple techniques to promote learning.
• Engage students to foster high levels of engagement and interaction.
• Assist in curriculum development and assessment for the area of expertise.
• Collaborate with the Dean and Nursing Administrator to support student success.
