Job summary

Rasmussen University Bloomington, MN is seeking a Master’s- or Doctorate-prepared nurse to teach across modalities and mentor students toward their educational goals. This on-site role emphasizes engaging, student-centered learning and ongoing professional development for faculty.

As a Nursing Instructor, you will teach 4.5–5.5 work units per quarter, collaborate with the Dean and Nursing Administrator, contribute to curriculum and assessment, and support student success through flexible

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Minnesota RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Active CPR certification by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• 1 year clinical RN experience; 2+ years preferred.
• Previous teaching/training experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and leadership abilities.
• Proof of professional licenses/certifications and transcripts required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in a variety of modalities while embodying Rasmussen University’s mission.
• Teach 4.5-5.5 work units per quarter, equating to a full-time schedule.
• Use effective teaching strategies and foster learning skills.
• Create high student engagement through activities and synchronous learning sessions.
• Ensure objectives are clear, relevant and connected to course performance.
• Maintain an organized classroom and efficient use of class time.
• Demonstrate mastery and ability to relate to students.
• Contribute to curriculum development and assessment for your area.
• Collaborate with the Dean and provide student outreach and support.
• Attend events, programmatic meetings and committee work as designated.

Education

Master's Degree in Nursing

Active Minnesota RN license
