Qualifications

• BVNPT credential required.
• CA RN or LVN license required.
• One year teaching experience in state-approved nursing or related program preferred.
• California teaching requirements for community college or state university met.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and Curriculum Delivery: prepare lessons, align with curriculum and accreditation; deliver instruction using varied methods; maintain an inclusive classroom.
• Student Support and Success: communicate with students about progress; offer advising, tutoring, and office hours; support student engagement.
• Assessment and Program Improvement: assess learning outcomes; contribute to program review and improvement; stay current with industry trends.
• Collaboration and Faculty Development: participate in departmental meetings; collaborate across departments; mentor new faculty.
• Compliance and Accreditation: adhere to standards; document grades, attendance, and advising; support accreditation processes.
• Other Duties: ensure instructional materials remain relevant; manage classroom and lab equipment; take on duties as assigned by leadership.
