Job summary

CALIFORNIA NURSES EDUCATIONAL in California is recruiting full-time and part-time nursing instructors for ADN RN and LVN programs. These roles involve teaching didactic and clinical courses across Medical-Surgical, Maternity, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community/Public Health and Gerontology.

Minimum requirements include a California license for LVN or RN, appropriate degrees, and teaching experience. One year teaching experience is preferred; a background check and teaching certification may be

Qualifications

LVN clinical: AA/AS degree + 6 years’ experience or BA/BS with 2 years’ experience.
LVN didactic: RN with bachelor’s or 1 year teaching in a nursing college within past 5 years, or RN with associate’s + 1 year teaching in nursing college within past 5 years.
RN clinical: BSN and 1 year direct patient care in the designated clinical area; CA RN license (unencumbered).
RN didactic: MSN with 1 year direct patient care in the designated clinical area; CA RN license (unencumbered).
One year teaching experience preferred
Background check will be required
Teaching certification or approved course

Responsibilities

Teach didactic and clinical nursing courses.
Serve as instructor for ADN RN and LVN programs.
Cover Medical-Surgical, Maternity, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community/Public Health and Gerontology.
Collaborate with faculty and participate in program activities.
