Northwell Health is seeking a Nursing Informatics professional to join the Patient Care Services team in New York. The role focuses on leveraging information systems to improve patient care and outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration and performance improvement practices.

The successful candidate will participate in investigations, prepare reports, and support quality initiatives while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of nursing informatics trends and technologies.

Qualifications

• BSN nursing degree is required.
• Current NY State RN license is required; or NP license or licensed PA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in interdisciplinary and process improvement teams to identify potential future uses of information systems and improvements in current use.
• Serves as a nursing informatics resource to individuals and teams within Patient Care Services.
• Maintains knowledge of Performance Improvement methodologies and trends in Nursing Informatics and hardware/software developments.
• Prepares Performance Improvement reports for care services and presents at committee meetings; supports benchmarking activities.
• Assists in conducting focus studies to measure patient care processes and outcomes.
• Coordinates investigations of state reportable incidents and data collection for corrective actions.
• Participates in special projects related to quality issues and assists in plan implementation and monthly variance reporting.
• Creates documents for presentations and storyboards using office technology and databases.

Education

BSN nursing degree

Registered Nurse license in New York State
