Job summary

Gunnison Valley Health in Colorado is seeking an experienced RN informatics leader to act as the primary informatics resource for assigned inpatient or outpatient workflows, partnering with frontline staff and leaders to optimize care delivery.

The role requires RN with BSN, a minimum of 5 years in clinical practice or IT, Colorado RN license (or compact), and ACLS/BLS/PALS. Epic ClinDoc/Clinical Informatics experience is essential, with Epic Orders and other advanced certifications preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in clinical practice or information technology preferred
  • RN license in Colorado (or compact license)
  • ACLS, BLS and PALS certifications required
  • Epic ClinDoc, Clinical Informatics or Epic Ambulatory experience required
  • Preferred: Epic Orders; Epic Stork (Inpatient) or Epic Cadence/Prelude (outpatient)
  • Preferred: Epic Reporting (Clarity/Caboodle fundamentals) or other advanced Epic Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary informatics resource for assigned inpatient or outpatient workflows
  • Independently evaluate and validate clinical needs with frontline staff and leaders
  • Optimize nursing and ancillary workflows to support safe, efficient patient care
  • Provide go-live, upgrade, and stabilization support for assigned clinical areas
  • Develop and maintain user-facing policies, procedures, and tip sheets
  • Identify and address EHR documentation and workflow issues affecting quality and safety
  • Lead redesign of clinical workflows to improve safety and efficiency
  • Provide physician workflow optimization including personalization, order sets, and notes
  • Collaborate with Medical Staff leadership to support adoption and standardization
  • Coordinate with Revenue Cycle, Coding, and Billing to optimize documentation for charge capture and reimbursement

Requirements:

To be seriously considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in clinical practice/information technology preferred

  • Maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and frontline usersLead redesign of clinical workflows to improve safety, efficiency, throughput, and documentation quality
  • Provide direct physician workflow optimization, including personalization, order sets, and note efficiency
  • Partner with Medical Staff leadership to support adoption and standardization
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Coding, and Billing to optimize documentation for charge capture and reimbursement

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday

Shift: Days

Compensation: Exempt $1460.00/week - $2263.20/week, depending on experience.

Physical Requirements:

Occasionally (1-33%) Walking, crouching, squatting, stooping, stairs, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs), pushing/pulling 20-50 lbs

Frequently (34-66%) Standing, sitting, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, pinching

Continuously (37-100%) must be able to see with corrective eye wear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance
