Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Nursing & ICU Technician Assistant to support our emergency and ICU teams in Utah. The role involves assisting veterinary technicians, ensuring accurate documentation, and helping care for stable patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Ideal candidates have prior veterinary experience and strong communication. You will collaborate with the team, adapt to variable hours, and contribute to high-quality patient care and client education.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Able to assist with patient restraint and care.
• Flexible with hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint
• Manage restocking of supplies for clinical teams
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs

We are looking for:

Nursing & ICU Technician Assistant

Proposed Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday 7AM - 7:30PM

Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identify patient distress and react accordingly, enjoys assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.

What you’ll do:

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care
• Assist in ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint
• Manage the restocking of supplies for clinical teams
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs of department
