MedVet Medical & Cancer Centers for Pets in Chicago is seeking a Nursing Technician Assistant to join our fast-paced emergency and specialty care team. You will assist veterinary technicians, help maintain accurate documentation, and support care of stable patients in our busy nursing department.

Ideal candidates have excellent communication, strong client service skills, and the ability to multitask in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care.
• Assist in ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients.
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint.

We are looking for:

Nursing Technician Assistant

Initial Hiring Range: $16-$21/hour based on skillset and experience

Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect for someone who can identify patient distress and react accordingly, enjoys assisting with recovery and client follow up and education.

What you’ll do:

• Assist veterinary technicians in ensuring patients receive quality care
• Assist in ensuring documentation is accurate and complete
• Assist with oversight and care of stable patients
• Assist Veterinary Technicians with patient restraint
• Manage the restocking of supplies for clinical teams
• Maintain clean treatment areas and manage laundry needs of department
