Job summary

Abrazo Central Hospital seeks an experienced nurse leader to supervise daily department operations, coordinate staffing and ensure quality patient care. You will lead staff in the absence of directors and collaborate with physicians, management and nursing leadership.

The role emphasizes discharge planning, utilization management and interdepartmental communication to deliver efficient, patient-centered care in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from a Nursing School.
• Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
• Must have AZ RN license; CPR and ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily administration of tasks, scheduling and problem solving in assigned areas.
• Provide leadership to hospital staff in the absence of Department Directors and Administration.
• Coordinate care resources, staffing, and communication with Department Directors and Administration.
• Interacts with physicians, staff, patients, family members, and other departments to facilitate admissions, discharge planning and utilization management.
• Direct staff to maintain safe environment and high patient satisfaction, and participate in hospital process improvements.
