Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid CPL from Michigan.
• Experience as a security officer; prior law enforcement or military background is a plus.
• Eligible to work in long-term care with background check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Be a noticeable security presence to prevent criminal activity and monitor the nursing home.
• Monitor alarms and cameras and respond to threats of security; assist visitors and staff as needed.
• Assist residents, visitors, and employees by providing general information.
• Inspect badges and IDs of individuals entering the nursing home to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Complete reports of daily activities, irregularities, and investigations.
• Report and respond to fires or safety hazards, including contacting authorities when necessary.
• Issue warnings and remove violators from the premises if needed.
