Job summary

Riverview Health Rehab Center - Jefferson is hiring a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role involves patrolling the facility, monitoring alarms and cameras, and providing information to the public and staff.

It requires a CPL from Michigan, a high school diploma, and prior security or law enforcement experience is a plus. Work is available full-time or part-time at our Detroit-area location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have current and valid CPL from the State of Michigan.
• Previous security officer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be a noticeable security presence to deter criminal activity.
• Patrol the facility to observe and prevent security risks.
• Monitor alarms and cameras and respond to threats.
• Answer multi-line telephone system and provide information.
• Inspect badges, passes, and identifications at entry points.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Report fires or safety hazards and contact emergency services when needed.
• Issue warnings and remove violators as required.

Full-time or Part-time positions may be available at our three locations.The Security Officer, under general supervision, is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment for all residents, staff, and visitors of the nursing home.Responsibilities:Be a noticeable security presence to prevent the opportunity for criminal activity. Patrol nursing home to prevent and observe potential security risks. Ensure continual security of doors, windows, and gates.Monitor alarms and cameras and respond appropriately to threats of security of the nursing home.
