Job summary

(Jackson Creek Post Acute) Independence Community Healthcare, LLC is seeking a General Laundry/Housekeeping Attendant to handle linen preparation, washing, drying, folding and delivery in a nursing home setting. You will follow sanitary procedures, maintain inventory, and ensure clean linens for all residents.

The role requires reading directions, basic math, and problem solving with no required certifications. GED or HS diploma preferred; 1 year experience favored.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.
• No certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
