Job summary

Stoney Point Healthcare Center in California is seeking a dedicated general laundry and housekeeping aide to maintain a sanitary nursing home environment and ensure quality linen service for residents.

You will sort, wash, dry, fold, label, deliver and store linens, follow safety procedures, and help keep equipment in good working order. GED or HS diploma preferred; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Basic math skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove damaged items.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
• Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
• Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
