  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports; review findings with Administrator and Risk Manager.
  • Participate in the annual facility assessment to ensure resources meet resident needs.
  • Ensure safe and proper functioning of environment and equipment needed to care for residents.
  • Evaluate and document facility maintenance and equipment needs.
  • Provide facility access to state/federal inspectors and contractors as directed.
  • Provide safety training to team members to prevent unsafe conditions or violations of procedures.

<h3>ϋ>THIS IS FOR A FUTURE OPENING</b></h3> <h3>ϋ>Nursing Home Facility Manager</b></h3> <p>STGi is seeking qualified candidates for this position in connection with an active Request for Proposals (RFP). Hiring for this role is contingent upon STGi's selection as the successful awardee.</p> <h3>ϋ>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</b></h3> <ul> <li>Assist in the development of a facility-based and community-based hazards vulnerability assessment as part of emergency preparedness planning.</li> <li>Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings; review findings with the Administrator and the Risk Manager.</li> <li>Participate in the annual facility assessment to ensure the available resources meet the needs of the resident population.</li> <li>Ensure the safe and proper functioning of the environment and equipment that are necessary to care for the resident population in the facility.</li> <li>Evaluate and document facility maintenance and equipment needs.</li> <li>Provide facility access to state/federal inspectors and contractors as directed.</li> <li>Evaluate work areas, examine tools and equipment and provide safety training to team members to prevent, detect and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and regulations.</li> <li>Inspect, test and measure completed work to verify compliance with state/federal requirements and/or facility standards.</li> <li>Provide daily supervision to the maintenance department; ensure the efficient and effective operational maintenance of the buildings and grounds through planning, scheduling and supervision of tasks.</li> </ul> <h3>ϋ>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:</b></h3> <ul> <li>Must have, as a minimum, three (3) year(s) experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance/plant related position.</li> <li>Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.</li> <li>Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.</li> <li>Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.</li> </ul> <h3>ϋ>REQUIRED EDUCATION:</b></h3> <ul> <li>Must have an engineering, construction or business-related Associate's degree. Experience in an institutional or correctional setting is preferred.</li> </ul> <h3>ϋ>WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></h3> <ul> <li>Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility and its premises.</li> <li>Is subject to frequent interruptions.</li> <li>Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, and visitors under all conditions/circumstances.</li> <li>Works beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
