Job summary

Pine Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate Nursing Home Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare nutritious meals and ensure dietary needs are met while providing a positive dining experience for residents.

Shifts are 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with every other weekend required. On-site work in a fast-paced healthcare setting, maintaining cleanliness and coordinating with the dietary team.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in food service preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents, ensuring compliance with dietary restrictions and preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to established sanitation and safety standards
• Coordinate with the dietary team to plan and execute special events and functions
• Collaborate with caregivers to address resident dietary needs and concerns
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff members
• Perform other related duties as assigned
