Job summary

ISH Dining Services seeks a dedicated Business Office Manager for a Nursing Home / Long-Term Care facility. You will oversee billing, admissions, AR, and compliance to support the facility’s financial health.

Responsibilities include resident billing, insurance processing, payroll support, and resident trust accounts. Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and EHR systems is required, with 2–3 years in LTC business office roles preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in long-term care business office operations.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care billing.
• Experience with electronic health records and billing software (MatrixCare, PointClickCare) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident billing for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, managed care, and private-pay accounts.
• Ensure accurate calculation of charges, room rates and ancillary services.
• Oversee monthly billing cycles and distribute statements.
• Track and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
• Participate in resident admissions and financial counseling.
• Assist with Medicaid applications and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate resident financial records and audit monthly accounts.
• Manage collections in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate refunds, adjustments, and corrections.
• Ensure billing practices follow payer rules and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Assist with payroll processing and HR support where applicable.
• Manage resident trust accounts and reconcile balances.
• Supervise front office staff and maintain professional environment.
