Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking an Administrator in Training (AIT) in Montana to prepare for licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator. Under a Montana State-licensed preceptor, you will gain broad exposure to LTC operations through rotations and real-world projects.

The program emphasizes resident-centered care, leadership development, and compliance with state and federal regulations, with hands-on mentorship and a clear path to the full administrator role upon licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
• Strong interest in pursuing Nursing Home Administrator licensure in Montana.
• Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or management is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, leadership potential, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to completing the AIT program and NAB exam.
• Montana State specifics: Must meet DOH requirements, including a bachelors degree and completion of an approved AIT program before taking the NAB exam.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all areas of facility operations, including administration, nursing, HR/staffing, finance/budgeting, admissions, dietary, activities, social services, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and resident/family relations.
• Support leadership in meetings, performance management, and problem-solving projects.
• Complete required training hours and learning activities toward Montana State AIT program requirements (typically 1,500 hours / ~9 months).
• Learn budgeting, revenue/expense reporting, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Act as a positive role model for our mission of exceptional resident-centered care.
