Job summary

Sweetwater Care offers practical on-the-job training within a skilled nursing facility under the direct supervision of an experienced Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. You will work with friendly staff dedicated to delivering the highest level of resident care and gain hands-on exposure to daily operations.

During training you will learn operating models, survey processes, reimbursement regulations, nursing practices, and the regulatory rules governing the skilled care industry.

Qualifications

• Strong communications skills and organizational abilities.
• Ability to interact with staff, residents, families, and agencies.
• Meet educational/experience requirements for Kansas Administrator License or AIT program.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the day-to-day operation of a skilled nursing facility.
• Study operating models and systems used in the facility.
• Learn the survey process, state surveyor visits, and quality measures.
• Understand reimbursement regulations affecting the facility.
• Familiarize with nursing practices and procedures and regulatory rules.
