Job summary

Adept is seeking a motivated Nursing Home Administrator in Training (AIT) to join our Nebraska facility’s leadership team. This role offers hands-on leadership experience, mentorship, and a clear pathway toward LNHA licensure while gaining exposure to all areas of facility operations.

You will support day-to-day operations, collaborate with department leaders, and contribute to staffing, regulatory compliance, census development, and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Nursing Home Administrator licensure in Nebraska (NHA)
• Experience in skilled nursing or healthcare leadership is preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Willingness to take initiative and lead teams
• Comfort working with residents, families, and staff

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day operations of the skilled nursing facility
• Collaborate with department leaders to improve operations and outcomes
• Provide leadership and support to department heads and staff
• Assist with staffing, recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance
• Support regulatory compliance with federal/state/local long-term care rules
• Participate in surveys, plans of correction, and quality initiatives
• Monitor performance metrics and drive quality improvement
• Contribute to census development and community relationships
• Help manage labor, budgeting, and financial objectives
• Address resident and family concerns to promote satisfaction
• Participate in leadership, interdisciplinary, and QA meetings
• Collaborate across Nursing, HR, Admissions, Dietary, and other departments
• Foster a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and care
