Job summary

Tradewater Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Assistant Administrator in Training to develop into a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. You will work closely with the Administrator and department heads to gain hands-on leadership experience in all areas of facility operations.

The program offers structured leadership development across operations, HR, finance, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement, with a pathway to licensure within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to obtaining Kentucky Long-Term Care Administrator licensure within one year of hire.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Facility Administrator in daily operations.
• Participate in leadership and department head meetings.
• Assist with employee relations, recruitment, retention, and staff engagement.
• Support regulatory compliance and survey readiness efforts.
• Participate in budget development and financial management processes.
• Assist with quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with nursing, dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, admissions, social services, and business office departments.
• Lead special projects focused on operational excellence.
• Develop knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Assume increasing leadership responsibilities throughout the program.
