Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and two years of clinical nursing practice.
• Current, unrestricted Virginia RN license.
• Experience teaching online/hybrid instruction in higher education.
• Proficiency with instructional technologies and LMS (Canvas).
• Ability to assess and align student outcomes with course/program objectives.
• Willingness to teach across campus locations.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester (20 contact hours) including day, evening, and weekend classes.
• Design, develop, and assess nursing curriculum and materials.
• Mentor students and participate in college governance and service.
• Maintain involvement with professional development and scholarship in nursing education.
• Be available to students outside class meetings (approx. 10 hours/week).
• Engage in committee work, student activities, advising, and program assessment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
