Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member to reinforce didactic content and teach in clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing students. The role includes collaboration with faculty, grading performance checks, and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.

The position is full-time, onsite in Lake Mary, FL, with travel to clinical sites as needed and a strong emphasis on safeguarding the university’s mission and Doctrinal statements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) is required.
• Unencumbered Florida RN license is required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in medical/surgical, long-term care, and/or skilled nursing.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Must successfully pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in the context of clinical and lab applications of knowledge for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participate in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and director, including attendance at select faculty meetings.
• Remain current with trends and developments in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to student clinical sites to directly observe student performance.
