Grand Canyon University in Lake Mary, Florida, seeks a Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member to reinforce didactic content and lead lab and clinical instruction for pre-licensure nursing students. The role involves collaboration with faculty, grading, and ongoing accreditation support.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN, an unencumbered FL RN license, and at least two years of medical/surgical or long-term care experience, plus prior teaching at the college level.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Unencumbered FL RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in medical/surgical, long term care, and/or skilled nursing.
• Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Must successfully pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content and teach in the context of clinical and lab application of knowledge and skills related to pre licensure Nursing.
• Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical and lab objectives.
• Participate in grading written and Clinical/Lab performance check-offs.
• Maintain lines of communication with program faculty and director including attendance in select faculty meetings.
• Stay current with trends and development in nursing practice and ensure accreditation compliance.
• Uphold the pillars of nursing as a holistic profession and the University’s mission.
• Travel to student clinical sites to observe student performance.

As a full-time Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member, you will provide lab/clinical program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.
