Job summary

Grand Canyon University in Lake Mary, FL is seeking a Foundations Lab/Clinical Nursing Faculty Member to teach and supervise lab and clinical experiences for pre-licensure nursing students.

You will reinforce didactic content, collaborate with faculty, participate in grading, ensure accreditation standards, and travel to clinical sites as needed; requires MSN and FL RN license, with at least 2 years of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• MSN required for faculty role.
• Unencumbered Florida RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in medical/surgical, long term care, or skilled nursing.
• Prior collegiate teaching experience preferred.
• Active involvement in professional nursing fields encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content within clinical and lab settings for pre-licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical/lab performance checks.
• Maintain communication with program faculty and director; attend select meetings.
• Stay current with trends in nursing practice and accreditation requirements.
• Travel to clinical sites to observe student performance.
