Qualifications

• RN license in Tennessee with no disciplinary action
• Three years of direct client care experience (Med/Surg or Community/Public/Population Health)
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification
• Evidence of teaching competency for a course
• Prior teaching experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and technology
• Background check and drug screening every year
• Yearly immunizations as required by policy

Responsibilities

• Teach 24 credit hours per contract year
• Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing education program philosophy and objectives
• Design, implement, teach, evaluate, and revise the curriculum
• Develop and evaluate admission, progression, retention, and graduation policies
• Provide opportunities for student and graduate evaluation of curriculum and teaching
• Demonstrate professional competency and ongoing development
• Integrate learning technology across teaching assignments
• Align assessment with nursing standards and guidelines
• Participate in faith, scholarship, and service activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
