Job summary

West Coast University is seeking a Nursing Faculty member to guide nursing students toward becoming skilled healthcare professionals. You will mentor students, demonstrate passion for teaching, and deliver instruction aligned with curriculum and clinical expectations.

You will participate in assessment activities, improve course materials, and employ diverse teaching methods to ensure students meet learning outcomes while maintaining scholarly activities and ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing is required.
• Professional nurse licensure is required.
• Minimum two years of direct patient care as an RN.
• Minimum one year of teaching/education experience in the field taught.

Responsibilities

• Mentor nursing students and provide academic support.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and learning processes.
• Deliver instruction according to the assigned teaching schedule.
• Contribute to assessment activities and program improvement.
• Update course materials and syllabi within shared governance.
• Utilize diverse teaching methods to meet learning outcomes.
• Maintain scholarly activities and ongoing professional growth.
• Support students’ success and utilize simulation labs when applicable.
• Oversee clinical supervision and facilitate clinical learning experiences.
