Job summary

NONPF seeks nursing faculty to provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction for nursing students. The position will involve preparing lesson plans, tests, and student assessment, and advising students in a 9-month faculty appointment.

Applicants should hold a Master’s in Nursing, be licensed as a North Carolina RN, and demonstrate expertise in adult learning theory, curriculum development, and instructional design. Teaching experience in nursing education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Current, unrestricted North Carolina RN license required.
• Education in teaching/learning principles for adult education and curriculum development required (see options).

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, clinical, and laboratory instruction to students.
• Prepare lesson plans, schedule activities and develop supplemental materials.
• Develop and administer tests, grade and record scores.
• Advise and counsel students and provide outside-class assistance.
• Oversee clinical assignments and travel to clinical sites for instruction.
