Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Nursing faculty member to teach assigned classes, maintain office hours for student consultation, and contribute to curriculum development. The role emphasizes quality classroom instruction and student engagement.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing with at least 3 years of clinical experience, a current Texas RN license, and experience with online coursework. This on-site role may offer hybrid possibilities after six months based on policy and needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate hours in Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one prior to employment.
• Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience; teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with online instruction, curriculum development, and student-centered teaching preferred.
• Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
• Official transcripts required at the time of interview.

Responsibilities

• Provides students with a written course syllabus.
• Participates in evaluating the instructional process and uses innovative strategies to improve learning.
• Supports discipline by recommending books, revising curricula, and assigning teaching tasks.
• Maintains accurate and complete course records.
• Performs professional activities and collaborates with the division dean to achieve goals.
• Demonstrates ability to work with diverse backgrounds and communities.
• Participates in student advising and registration.
• Uses technology to facilitate learning, access data, and communicate with others.
• Meets professional assignments per the academic calendar and contractual obligations.
• Complies with Dallas College policies and student code of conduct.
