Crowne Health Care in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk / Accounts Payable / Bookkeeper to support our long-term care facility. You will handle payroll, AP, and general bookkeeping while ensuring billing and insurance accuracy for skilled nursing residents.

The role requires prior experience with Medicaid processes, strong organization, and the ability to maintain confidential information. A background check and drug screen are part of the process, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Experience with skilled nursing facility billing and insurance is required.
• Experience with Medicaid applications and processing insurance approvals.
• Previous payroll, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or healthcare administrative experience required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Process accounts payable and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform bookkeeping and general accounting support for the facility.
• Assist with skilled nursing facility billing and insurance processes.
• Complete and follow up on Medicaid applications.
• Process and track insurance approvals and related documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial and administrative records.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies.
• Provide administrative and financial support to facility leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee, resident, and financial information.
