Job summary

Cascadia EE LLC is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department in a long‑term care setting. The CNO will advocate for residents and staff, promote evidence‑based practice, and partner with the CEO as the clinical lead.

Responsibilities include workforce management, budget involvement, and leading quality improvement initiatives, while ensuring compliance and resident‑centered care across the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN or MSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• CPR certification.
• DNS‑CT or CDONA, optional.
• 3–5 years of successful experience as a Director of Nursing or equivalent in a long‑term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures nursing structure supports clinical and administrative standards and goals.
• Leads nursing team to ensure quality outcomes.
• Oversees staffing based on census, acuity and budget; recruitment and retention plans.
• Participates in budget discussions and staffing recommendations.
• Participates in quality assurance performance improvement processes; drives action plans.
• Collaborates with Medical Director, attending and consulting physicians, and other departments.
• Promotes resident rights and smooth transitions of care; ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Acts as MDS coordinator for MDS completion and transmission with health professionals.
• Communicates effectively and participates in committees as requested.
