Job summary

Kindred Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a seasoned nursing education coordinator to plan, develop and deliver continuing education and in-service programs for hospital staff. You will collaborate with department leaders to shape orientation and competency initiatives, while managing the education budget and ensuring compliance with standards.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN licensure, and 5 years in acute care settings. BLS/ACLS are required; Masters degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Five years of experience in an acute care Medical/Surgical and/or ICU/CCU setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and teach continuing and in-service education for the hospital.
• Develop monthly education calendar and conduct compliance training.
• Collaborate with managers to evaluate staff competency and goals.
• Forecast and administer the education operating budget.
• Coordinate general hospital orientation with department leaders.
