Job summary

Kindred Hospital South Bay seeks an Education Coordinator to plan, coordinate and teach continuing education across the hospital. You will develop education calendars, in-service programs and orientation modules for new IP, RN and LVN staff to support patient care quality.

You will collaborate with department managers to assess competency, forecast the education budget, and ensure compliance training is delivered to all employees in alignment with hospital goals.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must have good and regular attendance.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office.
• Able to organize tasks and develop action plans.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance.
• Ability to work under stress and in emergencies.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and teaches continuing education for the hospital.
• Develops monthly education calendar and in-service education.
• Collaborates with managers to evaluate staff competency.
• Forecasts and administers education operating budget.
• Plans and coordinates general hospital orientation and staff training.
• Ensures compliance training for employees are provided as required.
