Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota seeks a Nursing Education Specialist to support Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, and to assist the Nursing Professional Development Division.

The NES collaborates to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff including orientation, continuing education and competency programs. Roles include learning facilitator, mentor, leader, and champion for nursing development.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing; or nursing with a master/doctoral in healthcare/education.
• Nursing education degree preferred; commit to degree completion within six months.
• Experience in educational programming and demonstrated teaching skills; BLS recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for nursing staff.
• Orientation, continuing education, and competency programs for the department.
