The NES plans, implements, and evaluates education activities for staff, including orientation and competency programs.

The role requires a Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing (or a nursing-related field with progress toward that degree), current RN licensure, and demonstrated teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing; degree completion within six months from application date.
• Experience in educational programming and demonstrated teaching skills.
• Current RN license and applicable state requirements; DON credentials listed as required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff, including orientation, continuing education and competency programs.
• Roles include learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader and champion for Nursing Professional Development.
