Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from four-year college or university (required)
• MSN or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and document age-appropriate patient care for unit populations.
• Design, implement and evaluate a cost-effective unit-based orientation process.
• Orient and develop preceptors.
• Coordinate annual assessment and validation of priority high risk skills.
• Coordinate and conduct required training to close performance gaps.
• Implement unit-based plan for staff competence across shifts.
• Coordinate unit-based clinical experience for students.
• Facilitate the unit-based PI process.
• Provide administrative support for unit-based operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in nursing

MSN or equivalent preferred
