Job summary

Covista is seeking a Student Learning Specialist to partner with faculty, leaders, and students to deliver academic support and hands-on clinical learning experiences. You will coach, tutor, remediate, and develop personalized success plans to prepare students for professional nursing practice.

This role focuses on NCLEX readiness, experiential learning, and collaboration with academic teams to foster student achievement and program success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
BLS/CPR Instructor certification.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively in person, by phone, and through technology-based platforms.
Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and collaborate in a team.

Responsibilities

Coordinate, facilitate, and supervise simulation-based experiences (SBEs) and clinical laboratory activities.
Develop and implement realistic simulation scenarios using high-fidelity patient simulators.
Ensure labs align with course objectives and assess student competency.
Staff open laboratories and oversee student practice, skills development, and remediation.
Manage simulation and lab operations, including equipment maintenance, supply ordering, setup, and cleanup.
Provide individualized tutoring and coaching to nursing students and assist NCLEX preparation.
Develop remediation plans and Next Generation NCLEX resources and activities.
Document student progress and communicate outcomes to leadership and retention committees.
