Qualifications

• Requires a BSN or MSN in nursing; graduate degree within five years preferred.
• Evidence of education training options includes 45 contact hours CE in curriculum development/teaching, or a nursing education certificate, or 9 semester hours of education coursework.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and lead within a collaborative team; strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to operate basic computer applications and use Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to nursing students with a faculty workload aligned to full-time instructor expectations.
• Design and implement meaningful instructional activities.
• Ensure course content covers approved competencies.
• Fulfill duties of clinical or lab instructor and supervise students.
• Request and manage course supplies and equipment.
• Maintain college records including attendance, grades, and learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance and learning outcomes.
• Participate in advising, department and college meetings; assist MAPS center during registration.
• Maintain current licensure, certification, and professional credentials.
