Qualifications

• Current license to practice as an RN in North Carolina.
• BSN or equivalent education/experience in an educator role; Master’s preferred.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS/PALS recommended.
• Engages in continuing education per nursing board requirements.
• Broad knowledge of trends in specialty clinical practice and healthcare.
• Ability to work autonomously and with diverse teams.
• National certification in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Department Director to assess, plan, intervene and evaluate educational needs for all staff.
• Works with Workforce Development to align education across MCH.
• Assists with data collection/review for accreditations and certifications.
• Provides 16 hours of direct patient care weekly as an RN.
