Job summary

Colorado Mesa University seeks a non-tenure track Instructor of Nursing to teach in the PN and LPN‑BSN programs at the Montrose campus. Responsibilities include classroom, lab, and clinical teaching with a focus on student engagement and adult learning theory.

Requires CO RN license, 1 year clinical experience, and a graduate degree in nursing. Salary commensurate with education and experience; benefits include health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience relevant to the area.
• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• If the graduate degree is non-nursing, BSN in nursing and plan for progress in nursing field within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students’ clinical skills in lab and/or clinical settings.
• Collaborate with faculty and agency contacts for clinical experiences.
• Teach assigned classes with emphasis on student engagement.
• Maintain office hours weekly and use learning management platform.
• Support program operations and student success across Montrose/Grand Junction campuses.
