Job summary

City of Hope in the United States seeks a Director to provide strategic leadership for nursing and clinical practice across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. You will partner with the CNO to advance professional practice, staff development, and evidence-based care.

The role acts as a change agent, building partnerships with clinical teams and educational institutions while promoting continuous improvement and transformational leadership aligned with City of Hope's mission and goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a professional registered nurse in Georgia.
• Master's degree in nursing (MSN) required, Doctorate preferred.
• Five to seven years of clinical experience.
• Four to five years of progressive leadership experience with focus on clinical operations.
• Experience with professional nursing standards, leadership, professional development, nursing education.
• Certification from a professional nursing organization required.
• Very strong background in hematology Magnet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads the Magnet Recognition Program, including readiness assessment and redesignation.
• Promotes Magnet principles throughout the organization.
• Supports nursing strategic goals, patient satisfaction initiatives, and Shared Governance/Shared Decision-Making.
• Provides education, guidance, and mentoring to nurses.
• Identifies gaps in nursing practice and partners with leaders on evidence-based practice.
• Oversees Magnet budgeting and supports ANA Standards and Code of Ethics.
• Leads nursing and clinical education programs and system-wide initiatives.
• Oversees nursing policy management and professional development.
• Oversees New Graduate Residency, Nursing Fellowship, Clinical Ladder, and Certification programs.
• Supports educational and research opportunities for students and staff.
• Develops strategies to improve patient experience and clinical outcomes.
• Uses data and workflow improvements to drive accountability and performance.
• Leads patient experience meetings and leadership rounding.
• Partners with enterprise and clinical leaders on education and improvement projects.
